[Moon 16/D1, LE: Fore Cargo Hold] Finally!

[Shiba Nozomi]

"Really? Wha-what are they like, his w-wife and her b-brother?" Nozomi was suddenly all ears and not having much of any courtier's training, her interest is rather apparent. Her hands seem to forget all about the towel they're holding and the fact that her hair is still wet.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"I never met his wife, but Moto Naranbaatar is an amazing man." She continues to wash her arms and chest as she speaks. "He is a brilliant general, and quite handsome as well. Not quite as wide as Hida Musasha-sama, but taller, so that he sort of looms over you if you stand too close."

[Shiba Nozomi]

"Like Isawa O-Washi-g-gunzo?" She tries to imagine a man like that, but instead of O-Washi's hair and eyes, the man in her mind has a moustache and lots of hair... everywhere.

Having lived on the ocean most of her life, Nozomi had never seen a Unicorn steed, and had no real concept of anything much bigger than the shaggy pony that her family owned. "Do they m-make horses that b-big?" If the man loomed over Rinzuki he must be simply huuuge. The thought bothers her more than a little.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Oh yes. The Otaku steeds usually stand about..." She raises a hand up to just above her forehead. "...thus high? They're just incredible to look at."

"Moto-sama is about..." Rinzuki stands on her tip-toes and raises her hand as high as it will go. "...about like thus? He's just a mountain of a man, but as quiet as a mouse when he's not barking orders at someone."

[Shiba Nozomi]

"Oh my."Nozomi looks shocked that anyone could be so tall. After a moment, she realizes her expression probably isn't the most polite and carefully tries to replace it.

"And he f-fits inside b-buildings?" There is definitely a note of skepticism to her voice. Surely the man plowed holes in doorframes when he entered.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

Rinzuki laughs and throws her washcloth at the smaller woman.

"Yes, he fits inside buildings! Moto-sama even has his own estate, with these vast open plains as far as the eye can see." She sighs, longingly. "And the finest foods you could ever want, brought to you at a moment's notice."

[Shiba Nozomi]

The little Shiba just narrowly avoids getting a face full of soapy cotton and looks rather surprised by it.

"Y-you sound like you m-miss it there... Iuchi Xiao Hua-s-sama seems to m-miss Unicorn lands, t-too." She is very careful to pronounce his name right, as foreign as it feels to say.

"Ocean l-landscapes aren't quite the s-same, are they?"

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"I wasn't aware the ocean had a landscape. Just water as far as you can see."

Rinzuki gives the matter some thought as she leans forward and dunks her head in the tub.

"I think," she says, straightening up as she grabs a towel to dry her hair, "that I just miss the conveniences of proper living. I've spent one too many nights curled up in a berth with a half-empty stomach."

[Shiba Nozomi]

"I s-suppose learning to f-fish could help with th-that..."
She'd noticed number of people seemed to find the portions less than filling. As an afterthought, Nozomi adds, "I-If Iuchi-san doesn't already kn-know how, th-that is."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"That was my thought as well. Tomorrow I'm going to try to catch an octopus."

She looks up as she finishes with her hair.

"I don't suppose you know anything about how to actually do that, do you?"

[Shiba Nozomi]

Fishing she could do, albeit poorly. Trying to catch something specific?

"Ano... with a su-spear or net? I've only ever s-seen them in tide p-pools." She makes a spinning motion with one finger.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"They're not dangerous, are they?"

[Shiba Nozomi]

Most were just curious. But there had been something... what was it? She frowns trying to remember."Er... n-not most of them..."

Then it hit her. "Stay away f-from the itty bitty ones with b-blue rings, though. I d-don't know how to cure their p-poison."

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Small ones with blue rings, got it." Rinzuki smiles as she tosses her towel over her shoulder. "Do you want us to bring you one back, if we catch a few? One of the non-poisonous ones, I mean."

[Shiba Naomi]

After Nozomi had finished, Naomi shed her clothes to scrub away the salt and sweat from her body. All the movements were done out of nescessity to get clean, and not to indulge whatever luxuary the water gave.
She happily let the other two chatter away as she started to soak her hair... Naomi never liked what the sea and sun did to her hair, and it was quite happy to get a proper washing this time.

"I know a good recipie for squid," she added in as the conversation turned to catching food.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Anything that we can make on the ship? I think Shinjo-sama mentioned something about frying it?"

[Shiba Naomi]

"Oh yes, it's best fried. I don't know what Cook got on the ship to do anything with it, but I got a few boxes of spices with me that would go nicely with it. Some of it could be used in a batter to soak the octopus-tentacles in, and then you fry it, or deep-fry it."

Naomi was mostly looking at her own hands as she combed her now wet hair with her fingers to get water and soap into all of it.

[Iuchi Rinzuki]

"Oh, wonderful!" Rinzuki glances towards Naomi as she begins to dress. "I'll let you know if we catch anything large enough to cook up. Thank you so much."

[Shiba Nozomi]

Nozomi looks up from rolling up the bottom of her pant legs when the other Shiba talks about cooking. Oh yea... I'd almost forgotten...

Adjusting her blouse, she smooths her hand over the place where the Chrysanthemum patch was sewn, and reminds herself to thank the Daidoji again for his help. Tomorrow, she'd try affixing the Phoenix one to the other side.

[Shiba Naomi]

"Oh, wonderful!" Rinzuki glances towards Naomi as she begins to dress. "I'll let you know if we catch anything large enough to cook up. Thank you so much."

"Oh, don't worry about it. I'm just happy to help, that's all."
Like saving people from the bland ship-food.

Having thoroughly cleaned her hair, she rinsed it again, then wringed most of the water out from it.
"Ah... that feels so much better."
